Engagement rings, compared the way retailers never will
The whole market's rings by style — setting prices, the true total with the stone in, shipping policies and customer-service numbers — on one page.
A ring's price is two prices: the setting (the design the stone sits in) and the stone. Retailers only ever show you their own pair. Facet Wire puts every store's setting for the same style side by side, adds a real tracked diamond to each, and shows the full ring total — plus each store's shipping terms and customer-service number, so one page answers the whole question.
Honesty note: settings carry no certificate numbers, so settings are matched as design matches — the same style and design class across stores, never dressed up as the same physical item. The diamond half of every total keeps Facet Wire's certificate-grade standard: a real listing, linked from its row.
Coverage so far, from the retailers' own collection pages: 364 settings in MiaDonna's engagement-ring collection; 188 setting products shown at Ritani (that count includes metal and shape variants, so distinct designs are fewer); 21 designs in Whiteflash's own house line. For the other retailers we publish verified example designs, not counts we could not confirm.
Ring styles, compared store by store
- Solitaire rings — compared at Whiteflash, Friendly Diamonds, MiaDonna, With Clarity, Brian Gavin Diamonds, Ada Diamonds, Blue Nile, Frank Darling, Ritani. The classic single-stone design — one center diamond, minimal metal, nothing competing with the stone.
- Halo rings — compared at With Clarity, Ritani, Friendly Diamonds, MiaDonna, Ada Diamonds, Blue Nile, Frank Darling, Brian Gavin Diamonds, Whiteflash. A ring of small diamonds circling the center stone, making it look larger and adding sparkle from every angle.
- Pavé rings — compared at With Clarity, Ada Diamonds, Blue Nile, Frank Darling, Brian Gavin Diamonds. Small diamonds set closely along the band itself (pavé is French for “paved”), so the band sparkles edge to edge.
- Three-Stone rings — compared at Ritani, With Clarity, Brian Gavin Diamonds, Ada Diamonds, Blue Nile, Frank Darling, Friendly Diamonds, MiaDonna, Whiteflash. A center stone flanked by two side stones — traditionally read as past, present and future.
- Hidden Halo rings — compared at Friendly Diamonds, Blue Nile, MiaDonna, Frank Darling, Brian Gavin Diamonds. A halo tucked underneath the center stone, invisible from the top and visible from the side — sparkle you only catch at an angle.
- Cathedral rings — compared at Ada Diamonds, With Clarity, Frank Darling. The band rises in arches to meet the center stone, lifting it the way a cathedral's arches rise — a higher, more dramatic profile.
- Bezel — a metal rim holds the stone instead of prongs. Offered by Brian Gavin Diamonds (its Shared Prong 3 Stone Half Bezel, priced on our three-stone page), Friendly Diamonds, Blue Nile and Frank Darling in their own style filters and navigation. No two retailers have a verified bezel setting price yet, so bezel has no comparison page of its own — we would rather show no page than a page built on one price.
Ready-made rings (stone already set)
Some retailers also sell finished rings with the stone already in. Verified examples from their own pages (October 20, 2026):
| Finished ring | Retailer | Total price as listed |
|---|---|---|
| Fine Trio Cluster (14KT White Gold / Round / 2¼ cttw) | With Clarity | $2,168 |
| Trellis Basket Side Stone | With Clarity | $3,800 |
| The Surrey Ring | With Clarity | $4,780 |
| Elegance Emerald Accent Hidden Halo | With Clarity | $6,500 |
| Pre-Designed Six Prong Solitaire 2mm, 14kt White Gold, with fixed Emerald 2.00 ct D-VVS stone (SKU AFDRE11400) | Friendly Diamonds | $1,775 (list $3,550) |
| Traditional Solitaire with 1.06ct D/VVS2 round, 14K White Gold, size 6.5 (SKU R8MD105) | MiaDonna | $1,375 |
Finished-ring prices include their stone and move with the exact variant (metal, shape, carat weight) — With Clarity's Fine Trio Cluster runs from $1,920 to over $3,784 across its variants, so treat these as listed examples, not fixed prices. VRAI sells only finished, made-to-order rings like these (its Signature round ring starts at $1,320 shown with a 1.5 ct stone) and has no setting-only price to track, which is why VRAI appears in the service table below but in no setting comparison.

The Ada Diamonds difference
Ada Diamonds is the one retailer here whose settings are not standalone products: its own Terms state it does not sell loose mountings and will not set outside gemstones. Ada setting prices on Facet Wire are therefore always labeled as the setting component of an Ada-built ring (Ada's engagement rings carry a $4,000 minimum for stone + setting combined), and Ada totals pair the setting with a diamond from Ada itself.
Frequently asked questions
Does Facet Wire sell rings?
No. Facet Wire tracks and compares — settings, stones, shipping terms and service numbers — across retailers, and links you to the retailer's own page to buy.
What is a design match?
Settings have no certificate numbers, so the same style at two stores is matched as a design — same style and design class — not proven to be the same physical item. Diamonds are held to the stricter standard: the stone in every total is a specific tracked listing with published grades.
Why does one store's total beat another's by so much?
Both halves move: setting prices for the same style vary by hundreds of dollars between retailers, and the cheapest tracked ≈1 ct lab-grown stone at each store varies too. The table shows both halves separately so you can see which half creates the gap.
How current are these prices?
Setting prices were checked on the retailers' own pages on October 20, 2026. Reference-stone prices come from Facet Wire's nightly diamond tracking and refresh every night.
